- MRI
An MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a non-invasive scan that uses powerful magnets and radio waves to generate detailed images of the body’s internal structures— especially soft tissues like the brain, spinal cord, joints, and organs—without using radiation.
GibMed’s Diagnostic Imaging Centre offers a broad and advanced suite of services—from MRI and CT scans to bone densitometry, ultrasound, digital X-ray, and fluoroscopy—allowing for comprehensive medical imaging in one modern facility. GibMed International Hospital+2 Their multi-slice CT scanner delivers high-resolution cross-sectional images, while the state-of-the-art bone densitometry (DEXA) machine helps assess bone health and fracture risk. Meanwhile, their ultrasound and X-ray systems provide rapid results with the lowest reasonable radiation exposure, prioritising patient safety.

At the heart of the facility is GibMed’s high-field 3 Tesla GE MRI scanner, which produces detailed 3D anatomical images without using ionising radiation. This machine is equipped with cutting-edge features like noise-reduction technology, flexible AIR™ coils for comfort, and an advanced table to help patients who may feel claustrophobic. Exams are reported on by GMC-registered radiologists or HCPC-registered radiographers, and results are typically available within 2–3 working days. GibMed also follows strict UK-standard radiation safety regulations to ensure that all imaging is performed with patient well-being as a top priority.
