Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a safe, noninvasive imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of internal organs, soft tissues, and blood flow. It does not involve radiation and is commonly used to assess the abdomen, pelvis, thyroid, blood vessels, and developing pregnancies. Ultrasound provides quick, accurate diagnostic information and is widely used due to its safety, versatility, and patient comfort.

GibMed’s Diagnostic Imaging Centre offers a broad and advanced suite of services—from MRI and CT scans to bone densitometry, ultrasound, digital X-ray, and fluoroscopy—allowing for comprehensive medical imaging in one modern facility. Their multi-slice CT scanner delivers high-resolution cross-sectional images, while the state-of-the-art bone densitometry (DEXA) machine helps assess bone health and fracture risk.  Meanwhile, their ultrasound and X-ray systems provide rapid results with the lowest reasonable radiation exposure, prioritising patient safety.

At GibMed International Hospital, the Diagnostic Imaging Centre provides high-quality ultrasound scanning performed by HCPC-registered radiographers and reported by GMC-registered radiologists. The service supports a wide range of diagnostic needs, with the option of contrast agents when needed to improve image clarity. Ultrasound reports are typically available within 2–3 working days, ensuring timely communication with referring clinicians.
